Our first Session begins at 2pm, but where possible please arrive
for lunch and registration at 12pm. The course finishes at 5pm on Sunday the
5th. It is possible to extend your stay to spend time in this beautiful and
fascinating area.
Shambala is situated right on Findhorn Bay, is just 5 minutes
walk from the world famous Findhorn Foundation. It is close to the
incredibly peaceful Pluscarden Abbey, the only medieval monastery still
inhabited by monks, where we can go to listen to the monks chanting.
Karuna is the
Jewel in the Crown of Reiki!
This will be a
unique high energy retreat
in an area of incredible natural beauty and pure light, perfect to hold and enfold you throughout the deep healing
that Karuna Reiki
always brings.
Due
to the "gloves off" approach of the Karuna Reiki energy it is recommended
that you have already been working with Usui Reiki at Master Level before
taking this class. This work initiates healing on deep and fundamental
levels and is deeply transformative, so please be prepared for huge changes
within yourself.
 This retreat is recommended for existing Reiki Masters who
are already committed to their path of personal healing and spiritual
growth, who now feel ready to move to the next level of personal,
professional and planetary healing.
You will access new
and powerful tools to heal yourself, to use in your work with others and for
world healing.
Karuna represents a quantum shift in your healing ability.
Expect and be prepared for huge changes
within yourself in the months following this course.

Reiki Retreat is not for the faint hearted!
What is Karuna Reiki®?
Karuna Reiki is a healing system, very similar to Usui Reiki. It feels like
the same family, like a spiritual cousin, but with a definite, distinctive
feel to it. It is a natural extension to Usui Reiki, the next logical
progression. One leads naturally and effortlessly into the other.
How
do I use it with others?
In the same way as you use Usui Reiki.
The symbols can be used alongside the
Usui symbols. They can be mixed and matched and interwoven, bringing in
whatever is appropriate for each person in each area and situation.
These
symbols add a greater depth, focus and potential to your healing work -
opening up more possibilities for transformation, particularly where you
come across resistance, blocks and reluctance to face painful or deep-seated
issues.
You will be taught how to work with the symbols, how to do a stand
alone Karuna treatment and how to use the incredibly powerful techniques of
chanting & toning in your sessions.
 We will be assisted in our work by the unique, wonderful and high vibrational
energy of Findhorn which is known throughout the world and also hosts the
etheric retreats of Archangels Metatron and Gabriel.
Shambala is a Tibetan
Buddhist Centre, a dream manifest.
On this
retreat there will be a conscious focus on the flowering of the highest potential
within us and clearing more blocks on our personal path to self-fulfilment,
enlightenment, service and joy.
The clearing and healing that ensues will enable you to step more fully and
easily into your individual path of perfection and mastery. As you move deeper
into your authentic self, you will be in a much better position to assist
others on their healing path.
How do I
teach Karuna Reiki?
On successful completion you will become a registered Karuna Reiki®
Master with the International Centre for Reiki Training, and entitled to use
the letters “KRM”.
You will be able to teach Karuna Reiki® in 3 separate
levels (Level I, Level II & Masters) or all levels together with existing
Usui Masters as in this course.
Your students will also be eligible for
registration with the ICRT (International Centre for Reiki training.)

The Meaning of Karuna
Karuna is a Sanskrit word and is used in Hinduism and Buddhism. It is
translated to mean any action that is taken to diminish the suffering of
others and could also be translated as "compassionate action."
When we reach enlightenment, we are conscious of the realms out with
time, space and matter where there is no duality – only unity consciousness.
We understand that all beings are one. It is therefore natural to extend
compassionate action or Karuna to everyone without distinction, as what we
do for others we do for ourselves.
As we help others and aid them in their healing process, all beings benefit.
Because of the oneness of all, it is understood that Karuna is not only
extended to others out of unconditional
love, but also because it is the entirely logical thing to do. In the same
way that you would want to heal the pain of your own wounds, you would also
want to heal other’s pain. It is stated in Buddhist literature that Karuna
must be accompanied by prajna or wisdom in order to have the right effect.
Karuna is the motivating quality of all enlightened beings who are working
to end humanity’s suffering on Earth. They continually send an unlimited
amount of healing energy and guidance to us, but not everyone is receptive
to it. As you develop Karuna in yourself, not only are you assisting others,
but you also become more receptive to the Karuna that is being sent by all
the enlightened beings,
thus your own healing is also quickened.
Reiki opens you to work more consciously with these enlightened
beings. This includes those enlightened ones who are physically present as
well as those in spirit.
The Karuna attunements initiate healing on very deep levels. The changes may
continue for a long time following the course, so it is only advised for
those who are already committed to their path of personal healing and
spiritual growth.

1st Level Symbols (4)
Symbol (1)
Heals on
a cellular level. Releases cellular memory. It acts as a spiritual
anaesthetic, healing past trauma / abuse. Heals past life issues. Links to
Archangel Gabriel for Karmic Healing.
Symbol (2)
Very deep healing. Heals the shadow self. Works on unconscious negative
patterns. Heals past trauma and abuse – deep healing.
Powerful physical
healing tool, especially when used with psychic surgery. Dispels psychic /
psychological attack. Leads to self-acceptance.
Symbol (3)
The
symbol of compassion and love. Like a higher vibration mental/emotional
symbol. Heals relationships. Heals addictions and increases motivation for
self-improvement and growth. Heals the heart – develops unconditional love
and compassion.
Increases contact with spiritual beings in particular those
focused on alleviating the suffering of humanity; i.e. Kwan Yin, Avalokiteshvara, Mother Mary, Jesus, Tara.
