India and Pakistan
On my return to Delhi I stayed in a lovely guest house that just
happened to be run by a Reiki Master! Her husband is also a healer and the
atmosphere in their house was lovely! I was able to leave the peace flame
in their meditation room to be passed on to others. It is a very important time
for us all to be focusing on world peace. Especially just now in India.
We don't hear much about it
in the UK, but in India the papers
were all full of India & Pakistan gearing up for war. The morning I left
Delhi for Dharamsala the headlines read: "Army fully prepared for war"
and had rather disturbing passages like "If nuclear weapons are used
against India the perpetrators shall be punished so severely that their
continuation in any sort of fray will be doubtful."
I did wonder for a moment if it was wise to continue, as I would
be between Delhi (first target), the mountains and the border areas - no where
to go to if war did break out. However it still felt like the right thing for me
to do, so I continued. Security was VERY tight all over India. I even had a
police check in my hotel. This might normally have been a bit intimidating, but as I
had just been meditating and practicing my self-Reiki, I was well chilled out! I
was amused to learn later that what had seemed like a heated discussion between
the hotel owner and policeman as they looked at me and my passport, was because
the policeman was suspicious of the passport as he thought I looked younger than
my date of birth suggested. That's what Reiki and meditation do for you!
Most of my internal focus on the trip was world peace. That is
all we can do really - focus on peace within ourselves, and extend that out into
the world. Never underestimate what a positive effect one individual can have!
